So with my form filling good and wanting to push myself to do something else I have entered in the local 10k race which takes place this Friday.

2 laps of the course where there is a long hill to do twice this should be interesting but luckliy its around half way round so time for recovery afterwards and least the legs will be be warm before hand.

Looking forward to this race as it should be a real test of what I can done, below is what the course map looks like, doesn’t really show you how it kicks up and down again.


Ok so I have managed to do it again, getting the time now to under 52 minutes with a new 10k PB of 51mins 55secs again very happy about this and I really did push myself in that last 2-3k to get this time, body and posture felt very good and I felt very comfortable with this last push also, with the pace going down to 4min per km.



So I did it, managed to smash my PB by over 2 minutes, but what makes this amazing is that this is done off road on a local trail that I like to do during the early morning.

So now my PB for 10k is 52mins 19 secs which is great, so just under 3 minute improvement on the same course/route that I run. No dog walkers either bliss!

Now do I go for more time off or just average it out….
