Really tried to push more today after Sunday’s long run, speed is something that I really need to work on this year and I am hoping I can really get used to running at pace. Will be a nice pace on the way home today.
Really pleased with today’s first effort of the long run for the year, having done 9 miles the other week and nothing in between, I really feel that I could done a half marathon (albeit not pretty) distance with my fitness where it is currently I am hoping to build on my speed and pace to help get the goals that I want for this year.
On another note, its great knowing that I didn’t have to do another 10 miles on top, unlike full marathon distance training where your just getting started.
After the horrid slog beginning in the week this was a nice pick me up.
Feeling really good still after the run into work and so attacked the run home.
Feeling quite good from doing the long miles and so really pushed it today on the way to work.
So with the entry into the London Marathon I have now set myself a target of being able to complete a Half marathon before the end of the year.
I have also set a target time of 3 Hours 5 Minutes which mean I would then qualify for 2017 marathon, time will see if this is a little bit out of my reach but nothing like pushing yourself to see what your end result will be, I am hoping that I would be atleast under 4 hours!!
